So I’m convinced my dick boss is trying to get me to quit.

He has never liked me since the moment he started working at my store, which is fine. You can’t get along with everyone and you’re not always going to like everyone, that’s life. But his attitude towards me only progressively gets worse every time I see him.

He thinks my tattoos are “tacky” and “disgusting”, even though I keep them covered at work. He thinks I’m “self-righteous” because I don’t own a tv and don’t care about the Oscar’s (please tell me how that one even makes any sense). He thinks I’m rude and arrogant because I’m not afraid to correct him when he’s wrong. I’ve never been rude to him, I don’t talk back, and I have never given him a reason to dislike me. I always do my job and I work hard. I’m fast, friendly, polite, and respectful. I come in early when they ask, I stay late when they ask, I come in when they call me on my day off. Even he, as well as the other managers, have used me as an example of what to be to be a good employee.

But he continues to talk down to me and treat me like I’m an idiot. He treats me like I’m new, when I’ve been working there for a year and a half. I’ve even explained to other employees (both who have and have not been there longer than me) and other managers how to do something on register. Not to toot my own horn too much, but I am a good employee.

He has been giving me less and less hours and he’s driving me nuts. I’ve had coworkers come up to me after overhearing him speak to me and they say, “Isn’t it illegal or something to personally victimize your employees?” I’m not crazy. He has a personal problem with me and it’s driving me nuts.

I hope so badly that Barona calls me back and hires me soon. I can’t take much more of this bullshit.
